This collection of photos of Hong Kong workers was taken while capturing daily life in the city sporadically over years. What drew me to these moments was perhaps a simple interest in how things are done in a place that was new to me; a boyish curiosity about what it might be like to practice a hands-on trade; and a more mature appreciation of everyday labour and how it is carried out—the unassuming diligence that underpins the functioning of a metropolis.
