Sakura lovers usually favour spots where a multitude of cherry trees are gathered. In bloom en masse, the trees turn into fluffy clouds, transporting you to a different world.

But I prefer the solitary tree, blazing behind a fence, impossible to contain, blessing my walk to the supermarket or subway station with a touch of the ethereal.
